Virtual learning

e-MISE is the platform for virtual learning that we have developed with professors from Copenhagen Business School, one of the leading institutions within this discipline.

On a daily basis our trainees keep in touch and gather around cases from the real world by means of the Internet - this is what we call e-MISE, the virtual part of the M.I.S.E. experience. We have found that by using a virtual workspace we maintain a consistency between the M.I.S.E. modules and facilitate knowledge sharing throughout our organization.

e-MISE is built around Market Economics and assignments are solved in groups of 10 trainees with different nationalities and located in different time zones. This is referred to as asynchronous learning - a learning process that is independent of time, place and pace. Our trainees log on to e-MISE when they have the time, where they are located and study at their own pace.

Through e-MISE our trainees experience how the best solution to a given problem is often found on the other side of the world. All participants world-wide draw on each other's experience and knowledge as well as the experience of professors and managers.

All subjects in the M.I.S.E. curriculum are supported virtually by the professors our trainees meet during classes. In the virtual workspace one can follow up with questions, comments or discoveries made between M.I.S.E. modules. Hence, e-MISE enables our trainees to further enhance the link between praxis and theory.

Furthermore, managers of the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group are offered access to e-MISE providing our trainees with exposure to management throughout the two years.

Lastly, e-MISE contains a social discussion forum through which our trainees can expand and maintain their international network.
