Although a costly process, we believe in letting our trainees make their own mistakes and learn from these. At the same time we provide the framework for learning from each other's mistakes as well. Gradually our trainees develop a greater success-to-failure ratio.

The MISE Programme is an international community of real-world and pro-active learning. We provide our trainees with knowledge and tools to identify critical issues and solve everyday challenges. The backbone of the Maersk Shipping Academy is cases where trainees collaborate to confront scenarios from the real world across personal, cultural and national differences.
This combination of theory and practice makes MISE a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for career growth. It also requires pro-active talents with the personal drive to seek new knowledge and motivate themselves. For each session at Maersk Shipping Academy, trainees must arrive well-prepared with a natural capacity for questioning conventions and sharing their insights with instructors and colleagues. This is the condition for gaining knowledge and avoiding easy answers to the complex questions of today’s business world.
